HOW TO JOIN THE WAVES
ON-LINE REGISTRATION OVERVIEW & WAVES FEES OUTLINE
The Active Network using the Thriva System is the new service we have joined to provide us with on-line registration, swimmers accounts, email confirmations and soon on-line meet entries and swimmers tracking. You will be able to complete all the registration forms and payment to the Waves on line through their service, you will be able to go on-line and check your families private account at any time. If you have ever bought anything on-line it is very similar. It may look different and may have different looks and options for all of you to use but the basics of the Waves will remain the same. You can fill out the forms on-line and pay by check, etc as you have done in the past, We will keep track of your payments in the new system and you will be able to check your on-line account for accuracy. New and different is always awkward at first but I think everyone will like it once they get use to it.
Two Week Trial
The Waves is a commitment, so come and check out the team so you know all the fun, friends, great training, workouts, meets, fitness, instruction, stroke work and smiles you can expect from the Waves. A two week trial is $30, the cost does count towards your registration fees. When you start the on-line registration the option for a two week trial will come up.
WAVES FEES
The fees will have more options for all the Waves families. Almost all of the Waves are a part of the team for the year. This works best for each Wave’s swimming progress as well as the Waves team, The Waves want to encourage staying in shape and improving your swimming as much as possible all the time. The least expensive way of participating, most discounts, and all the payment plans, etc., are for registering year round. The cost for swimming for the School year (Sept-May) is the same as swimming year round (you can think of it as the summer is free).

We want to make sure we go through everything thing which each family, if need be, to make sure you understand and do not have any difficulties with the new process, fees, etc. We will try to work out the fees and find an accommodation that works for everyone.
The fees for Annual swimmers and/or School Year swimmers will be the same to encourage more participation over the summer or look at it like "the fees are for September to May and the Waves summers are FREE!"
- All fees are due at the time of registration, unless you participate in an automatic monthly installment plan below.
Annual Swimmers
4 Payments Plan Sept. 1st, Nov. 1st, Jan. 1st and March 1st 3 Payments Plan Sept. 1st, Nov. 1st and Jan. 1st 2 Payments Plan Sept. 1st and Dec. 1st Payment by check - We would prefer you make your payments on-line as it makes it easier to track and stay accurate. You can make your Waves fees payments by check and we will apply them to your account. Make checks out to the Westlake Waves Swim Club and put them in the drop off box at practice. For the online registration you must choose to pay in full. If you would like to make payments, please turn in all payment checks predated and we will apply them on those dates. Please use the payment schedule listed above only.
- Annual swimmers family discount - 2nd swimmer receives a $35 Discount, 3rd swimmer a $70 discount, 4th or more swimmer is free, just pays for USA & Waves registration.
High School swimmers cannot be discounted.
- Annual Swimmers who participate in certain fall or spring sports can receive a one month discount, Check with the Head Coach for details.
- All 7th & 8th graders are also a part of the 7th & 8th grade team, and have an additional $25 fee due by October 1st. New swimmer interested in joining just for the 7th & 8th grade season, please give coach John Bailey a call or email for more information.

The fees to participate with the Waves generally are around $50 - $80 per month depending on the practice group, length of registration, discounts, etc. The exact amounts and payment plans can be found under the On-Line Registration link on the left. This is for hundreds of hours of practice time with professional coaching, great pool time at a great facility, detailed stroke work, the latest in equipment, video recording of strokes, swim lessons, daily workouts, fun and exciting competition, excellent fitness, structured activity, a lifelong skill and much much more!
