Everyone entering the Westlake Recreation Center must have a membership card. There are number of ways to get a membership card. The best way is to live or work in the City of Westlake and join with a resident or corporate membership. Here is a link to the Westlake Recreation Center membership application that shows all of the fees for a Rec center membership. (It is a .PDF file.) - CLICK HERE
The Waves practice in Westlake, and anyone who can get to our practices are welcome to join the team. We have swimmers from Avon, Avon Lake, Bay Village, Rocky River, Lakewood, Fairview, North Olmsted, Olmsted falls, North Ridgeville, Elyria, Lorain, Sheffield, Sheffield Lake, etc. We have had swimmers from as many as 13 different High schools on our team. If it is practical for you to get here, and you want to be a fast swimmer, we want you on our team.
IF YOU DO NOT LIVE IN WESTLAKE, PLEASE CONTACT HEAD COACH JOHN BAILEY IF YOU WOULD LIKE MORE INFORMATION ABOUT HOW TO GET A FAMILY CORPORATE OR YOUTH MEMBERSHIP.
If you can not or do not want to join the Rec. Center, but would like to swim with the Waves
We are very thankful to the Westlake Recreation Center for allowing a limited number of Non-Residents to pay $210 for a one calendar year program fee to the Rec. Center specifically for a student to swim with the Waves. This new policy started in the spring of 2005 and many more swimmers from the surrounding communities are now training with the Waves. Please contact John Bailey for more information.
If you want to become a fast swimmer, the Waves want to be your team.
Swimmers can find out if the Waves are right for them.....
-A 1 day trial is free but you do need a $5 Rec Center guest pass.
-Or do a 2-week trial period with the Waves for $25 + a guest pass
(The Rec Center can give you a "$20 for 5 visits guest pass").
Please stop by as a guest of the Waves and check out the team and our great workout facility. This will give you a good opportunity to evaluate what Waves swimming can do for you. A club registration form, a medical release form, and a USA Swimming registration form must be turned in for swimmers to participate in any practice.
